Cameron Arthur Carter was born in 1894 at Frederick, Virginia. He rested from his earthly labor in 1987 at Warsaw, Virginia.

He served as pastor, teacher, administrator at several educational institutions within the territory of the China Division including Hong Kong Adventist College, Clear water Bay, Kowloon, Hong Kong. He was known for his pioneering efforts in establishing industries on school campuses to assist students in meeting their financial needs.

After serving in mission fields for 37 years, the Carters returned to the U.S. Cameron continued his efforts as pastor, teacher, as well as a hospital chaplain. He assisted in the establishment of the Tidewater Memorial Hospital and served as one of the board members.

After the passing of Mable, Cameron married Mary Elizabeth Bramble.
